| Hasegawa 1/72 88MM Gun Flak 18 1/72 HMT10 Description: Detailed 1/72 scale assembly model kit of the 8,8 cm FlaK 18, an 88 mm anti-aircraft and anti-tank artillery gun used by Germany during World War II. Commonly called the "eighty-eight" by the Allies, the German 88 mm gun was a highly effective weapon against both air and ground targets. Originally developed as an anti-aircraft gun ("FlaK"), the eighty-eight prove to be superb as anti-tank artillery during the German campaign in France and North Africa. The eighty-eight's success as an improvised anti-tank gun lead to a new line of PaK 88 mm guns dedicated to anti-tank use, including some mounted on Tiger and Panther tanks. This Hasegawa 1/72 scale assembly kit features the FlaK 18 version of the 88 mm gun, which was the early production model eighty-eight that used a single-piece barrel with a length of 56 calibers and was mounted on a cruciform gun carriage that allowed fire in all directions. Model kit features: Main gun can be elevated and rotated on its base. Carriage could be folded up to depict transport mode. 4 gun crew figures in realistic combat poses included. Gun ammunitions and shell casings included for greater realism. 95 parts total.
