04653 Eurocopter EC145 Police/Gendarmerie

The EC 145 is twin engine medium lift helicopter. It was developed from the BK117C, given a new fuselage, a spacious cabin and a 25% increase in range. In addition to Search and Rescue, the German Police Force also uses the EC145 for Surveillance and Transport tasks. The EC145 has a similar operational role with the French Gendarmerie Nationale, although it is mainly deployed mountainous and inaccessible regions.
