Leonardo's rotatable crane was designed to allow the lifting of heavy objects and a rapid transfer of material. The crane was constructed on a rotatable platform and it was actuated by a system of cords and pulleys.
The model too is fully functional, designed by the original drawing and the historic model of the Nazionale della Scienza e della Tecnologia Leonardo da Vinci Milano.
