The "AFF" is a Reconnaissance, Command and Fire Control Vehicle based on the "Wiesel 2". It is the eyes and brain of the Light Air-Defence System (LeFlaSys) of the "Bundeswehr" (German Armed Forces). The "LeFlaSys" is one of the most modern Air Defence Systems in the world and can engage aerial targets with the "Stinger" Guided Missile System. The lightly armoured tracked vehicle provides its crew with protection against Hand Fire Weapons and is Air Transportable. It carries a 7.62mm MG3 Machine Gun for self protection. The "AFF's" 3D Radar - which on the model can also be rotated - can locate targets at a range of up to 20 km (12.5 miles) and an altitude of 5000 m (16400 ft). It transmits the target details via Data-Link to the "Ocelot" weapons launcher which can launch up to four guided missiles immediately. Decal Sets are included for all currently equipped units - LeFlaRakBttr 100, LeFlaRakBttr 300 and LeFlaRakLBttr 610. The detailed single piece Vinyl Tracks make assembly easy.
