Little
Dynamite -
Founded by Carlo Abarth in 1949, Abarth is a well-known
motorsport company that has become Fiat's racing and tuning arm. Back
in the 1960s, when the famous Fiat 500 was making waves in Europe,
Abart took the little economy car and modified it by increasing engine
displacement to 689.5cc and installing new carburetors to produce a
tune 38hp engine that had more than twice the horsepower as the stock
unit. Furthermore, the body featured wider fenders to match the bigger
tires, and a special Abarth muffler added to the car's racing flavor.
